At the EPC Summit in Prague, the UK requested to participate in the EU Military Mobility PESCO project. The Military Mobility project is aimed to provide a platform that will simplify and standardize cross-border military transportation of military personnel and assets within the EU by road, rail, sea, or air. Apart from EU Member States (with the exception of Malta), other third country participants already included Canada, Norway, and the USA.

Following the UK’s request to participate in the PESCO Military Mobility project during the first EPC Summit in the Czech Republic, the Council of the European Union agreed upon the UK’s participation in the PESCO Military Mobility project on 14 November 2022, confirming that the UK meets the conditions set out in Article 3 of Decision (CFSP) 2020/1639.
